Player Ratings: SUNDERLAND ARE GOING BACK TO WEMBLEY!

A draw, A BEAUTIFUL DRAW!

Sunderland's 61st draw of the season is the sweetest of draws in recent memory. We went down to Fratton Park, and despite Portsmouth players - and fans - reckoning they were auditioning for a supporting role in Green Street, we put out a thoroughly professional away performance.

It was far from the prettiest of games, and we needed some help from the outstanding Jon McLaughlin, but a place at Wembley is nothing more than we deserve. I'm still in shock that SAFC finally found a way to see out football matches right when it matters most.

Charlton will pose a much more potent threat. Because they are a far superior side in technique and overall ability, so we can expect a speedy affair at Wembley with two sides trying to out play eachother instead of one side trying to leather the other on the pitch and in the stands like we've witnessed over the last 180 minutes.

It's glorious, it's beautiful, but it could easily end up heart break in just over a week's time.

For now though, it is the SECOND last time this season you get the chance to rate the Sunderland players, and - pretty please - leave a comment. We'll round up the best ones tomorrow.

What an evening!
