PLAYER RATINGS: Superb SAFC players win again - has the corner been turned?
Despite yesterday being the four game in 9 days, Phil Parkinson named a virtually unchanged side to excellent effort for Lincoln’s visit to the Stadium of Light.
The Imps’ impressive following was of little help to the away side as they were bullied throughout the first half. Unrelenting pressure from the lads earned them a 3 goal advantage by the break.
Tom Flanagan’s opener was complimented by a double from Lynden Gooch, his first a product of superb pressing leading to a comical defensive error, the second being a competent finish in on goal
Parkinson has managed to completely change performance levels and it’s even more encouraging to see that happen at the Stadium of Light. I’m sure there is work to do to convince all of the doubters, but we’re finally on the right path.
It’s time once more to rate SAFC players in their individual performances. If you’re new here, just select a rating and leave a comment if you fancy it, clicking ‘Submit ratings’ when you’re done. If you’re not new, thanks for helping out again!
We’ll round up the comments in an article on this evening / tomorrow morning.
